Are you tired of dieting?
If the answer is yes, I hear you. We know we need to be “healthy” and “take care of ourselves” but what does that look like, really? We’re bombarded with messages to “eat this, not that” and that we must maintain a certain weight to be healthy. But if the effort it takes to reach that ideal makes us question our worthiness and doubt our ourselves or worse, feel obsessive and out of control in the process, are we really any better off? What if I told you there was a better way?
What is Intuitive Eating?
We were born with it. That innate sense of when we need to fuel ourselves and when we’ve had enough. Unfortunately, after years of restrictive dieting and eating according to a schedule that may or may not be in alignment with what our body truly needs, these signals may be hard to identify.
There will be no diet plans, no counting calories or macros, no excessive exercise to “make up for” that piece of cake you had at the birthday party. You will listen to your body to start to understand what it needs and when you’ve had enough. You will eat what you want without guilt. You’ll move your body in a way that feels good to you.
You may lose weight, you may not. This is not about weight loss, it’s about having a healthy relationship with food and more importantly, with yourself and your body. Rebuilding trust with your body will take some patience, compassion, forgiveness and a ton of self-awareness. But it’s worth it. Freedom from the endless diet trap is the ultimate gift you can give yourself.
